Operational Due Diligence Analyst

The Operational Due Diligence Analyst is responsible for understanding the operational setup under which the hedge fund managers are implementing their strategy and has to make sure the fund of hedge fund platform is not taking undue operational risks.

Responsibilities and main tasks:

- Conduct operational due diligence on candidate hedge funds including:

Management company's business operating model, organisation, staffing, legal structure
Investment and control teams' experience and background
Trading, trade processing, trade reconciliation processes, systems
Fund valuation processes
Internal control, regulatory and compliance

- Cross check above with independent sources (prime brokers, administrators,
background check, etc.)

Qualifications and Experience:

- University Graduate
- Professional qualification - either qualified solicitor/barrister/lawyer, or qualified
accountant, or both (i.e. dual-qualification).

To clarify legal professional qualification should be a qualified solicitor, barrister or lawyer
with entitlement to practice in jurisdiction of qualification. Similarly, accounting
professional qualification should be a qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant, ACCA
or equivalent in jurisdiction of qualification).

- Experience - extensive experience in operational due diligence within a fund of hedge
fund platform or at a hedge fund or prime broker. Some exposure to structuring offshore
