Business Analyst

My client, a large and prestigious accountant practice firm in London is looking to recruit a Business Analyst to help deliver high quality decision support to operational management & staff. The role involves working with a small team of 5 and liaising with 7 departments and a 30m turnover.

The role requires a qualified candidate (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with advanced Excel and fantastic interpersonal skills, ideally from a practice background. Responsibilities:
Management accounting support to the Office Managing Partner/ Business Unit Managing Partner/ Head of department and staff of the designated business unit(s) comprising:
-Preparation of periodic financial & management information & commentary at a departmental & office level
-Proactive interpretation of key performance indicators including those relating to the management of costs
-Coordination of & responsibility for validating WIP valuation & bad debt provision exercises
-Review and analysis of monthly, quarterly & annual accounts in liaison with senior staff in the Centralised Finance Function
-Coordination of the preparation & submission of annual profit budgets & periodic forecasts
-Assistance with the preparation of Capital Expenditure proposals relating to the business unit(s)
-Taking initiatives to improve the working capital management in each business unit(s) & to implement the firm's policies in respect of effective working capital management
