Our client provides the full range of professional investment banking services, covering Corporate Finance, Sales, Trading, and Research, to domestic and international clients. Due to their continued growth we are assisting them in hiring a Director/MD level candidate to join their team in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Our clients' track record includes successful investment banking transactions in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and Belarus. Their first-class team of professionals with a reputation for innovation, excellence and integrity has also been mandated for some of the largest upcoming transactions in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. Their is experienced in coordinating complex international transactions that are tailored to the requirements of each client's individual preferences.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years international investment banking experience involving corporate finance, M&A, advisory, capital markets or/and project finance transactions. Emerging market experience essential, and sector focus on oil & gas, metals and mining, or/and financial services sectors desirable as well as the ability and strong desire to run investment banking transactions from start to finish. You will have strong technical skills (analysis, financial modeling, structuring, etc.), excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to develop and supervise junior staff in the preparation of materials to support investment banking engagements. Excellent conceptual and interpersonal skills, the ability to perform under high pressure, and willingness to travel are essential. Candidates with a strong academic background (preferably with an MBA) and a fluency in English/Russian/Kazakh are preferred.
